Traveler 8.5.3 UP2 and Silent Install on Linux Server

Starting from Lotus Traveler 8.5.3 UP2 i've noted some trouble using the standard interactive setup on my linux servers.
A simple way to workaround any possible issues is using silent installation, editing the installer.properties file included inside installation kit setting.
This is some of parameters to edit
  • data Path and binary Path
  • domino user and group
  • if domino homepage will be set to /traveler or not
  • if Domino Upgrade Pack1 setup must be run or not
  • ..
all the parameters are expained inside the file with sample and default value

When you have finished to edit , you could launch  the setup with following sintax

<installer_name> -i silent -l <locale> -f installer.properties
eg    ./TravelerSetup -i silent -l it -f installer.properties

Now Sit down and look your progress bar !
